It is so much heartbreaking ... I can not believe ...
only one raven, smaller then osprey,
only several minutes and such terrible tragedy
RiP Alma, great and brave mummy
RiP sweet little one
I will never forget you
Soar high Alma and take care for your baby, there over the Rainbow Bridge,
free from enemies and with waters full of fish
Be like a guardian angel
of your nest,
Ossi and your survived babies

Do you know where was taken juvies, where is their foster nest ?
Do you know how is the injured one ?
Will we be informed how they are, how they growing, I would be happy
to hear about them
How they are taken by the foster parents, how many own chick they have ?
I know there is not a camera there, but I hope some ornithologists will be observing them from distance with binoculars ?
I watch this nest the 4th year, but I don't know how long Alma & Ossi are a pair ?
I remember Chesapeake nest in 2015. When all three eggs of Audrey & Tom didn't hatch,
it were put into the nest very tiny chicks from some endangered nest ( eggs were taken ). Parents adopted them at once and bred like their owns. And a bit later the nest was very often visited by a juvenile who liked to spend a lot of time with them and parents fed him also, like their next foster
This birdy adoption watching was very nice, interesting and exciting for me

We have to wait, this is all that's been told today.
In English: Nest 1: Sad news from Alma & Ossi’s nest. The nesting came to an abrupt end today (June 25th) when Alma decided to chase away a raven that landed in the tree right next to the nest. The raven and Alma flew towards the woods and Alma somehow injured herself during the chase and both birds ended up on the ground where the battle continued. Alma wasn’t able to get off the ground anymore and the raven was able to return to the nest and attack the chicks. The youngest chick was killed, but the two older chicks survived as Ossi returned to the nest area with fresh fish in his talons, making sure the raven wasn’t able to get back to the nest again. Unfortunately, it would have been practically impossible for a single Osprey parent to successfully raise chicks that still need a parent to feed them and to protect them from the heat and predators. Therefore the only chance for the remaining two chicks to survive to fledge was to take them to another nest (with no camera). The live streams from Nest 1 are off at least for the time being.

@Marksaan mainitsema tilanne alkaa jo n. 10.55., kun alkaa kuulua Ossin hätäisen kuuloista huutoa ja korppien ääntä. Korppeja on useita - on myös korpin poikasia äänessä. Yksi tulee jopa pesälle. Onkohan sama kuin toissa päivänä?
Myös Ossi tulee pesälle puolustamaan muutaman minuutin ajaksi.
Ossi tekee maastossa lentohyökkäyksiä lähes tunnin ajan. Korpit häipyvät n. 11.52. Tämänkin jälkeen Ossi vartioi vielä pitkään metsässä korkeimmalle nousevan männyn latvassa.

Järkytyin puolikuoliaaksi aattona nähtyäni korpin pesällä ja vasta nyt katsoin. . Kelasin tapahtumia taapäin ja uusi järkytys Alman kohtalosta! 
Videoita en katso vielä hetkeen aikaan.. Elämä katkeaa hetkessä. Alma puolusti poikasiaan kuolemaansa saakka. 
Nyt ymmärrän Ossin touhut vieraan naaraan kanssa, se on hyvä! Onneksi tämä poikaskaksikko pelastettiin, lohduttava tieto, kai niiden elämää seurataan jotenkin? Aikansa vie taas toipua tästäkin. Tänä kautena on ollut draamaa pesillä jo riittämiin.. Sais riittää jo!

Tokihan kaikki ymmärrämme, että näin se luonnossa menee, mutta kun on ne tunteet ja kiintymys kasvaa väistämättä lintuystäviimme. Yhdessä mennään eteen päin hyvässä ja pahassa!
